Sunny, hot days are ahead of us! Are you prepared? I thought I would share some of my favorite summer items for our little ones! Consider registering for some of these items if you are pregnant, even if your baby is due in colder weather (your wallet will thank you later!).

I remember when I first started taking Berry outside. Taking out the pack-n-play was a hassle. It was heavy and I was concerned about bugs and dirt soiling it because I use it indoors frequently. It also didn’t have a cover for shade. Yes, I saw the viral post about placing a fitted sheet over it, but I don’t have a twin bed fitted sheet, and I questioned the safety of using it. So, I went shopping!
I found so many options that I couldn’t afford and looked like a bigger pain setting up than the pack-n-play. Then I came across this pop-up play tent!
I love that this is affordable, has the SPF 50 protection and is super lightweight. It packs down to the size of a hula hoop but can easily fit in my small entry way closet. The mosquito net keeps bugs off of my sweet baby!
Another great feature is the size accommodates small babies up to small children, so you’ll get your money’s worth with this one!
I also like this because…
Another reason I like the bblüv pop up play tent is because their portable travel pool pad fits nicely inside. This is also compacts to an easy to store small size. It comes with a collapsible bucket to fill if you’re at the beach or lake. It’s an easy way to keep my baby cool on a hot, summer day! The fabric allows fast drying too!
There are lots of options for stroller fans and you can either purchase a clip-on style or one with tripod legs that wrap around various objects. I purchased this stroller fan, but like I said, there are many options out there!
Some points to keep in mind is to make sure to purchase a fan that’s designed to be used for the baby. This is because the fan blade cover will have openings small enough to prevent the tiniest of fingers reaching through!
A stroller fan can also be used in the car while your little one is in their car seat. It also can be used for you too: at the office, in the kitchen, wherever!
Splash Pad
I was so excited when my in-laws gifted Berry this Disney Ariel Inflatable Lagoon Splash Pad and Sprinkler! I like this one because it’s larger. Berry can splash in it and play gently without sprinklers shooting up two feet over her head, which can be scary for a small baby. (When she is older, I will be purchasing her one of those). The Ariel inflatable lagoon splash pad makes for great pictures too with the seaweed and hanging streamers!
Splash pads come in all sizes and most range from $20 – $50 making it an affordable, fun option for summer play!
Hot Tip: Place some bath toys in your baby pool or splash pad for additional fun!
I didn’t even think of purchasing a baby swing for Berry until my sister-in-law invited us over and Berry used her cousin’s baby swing attachment on their swing set. We don’t have a yard (yet) for Berry to play in, but this swing attaches nicely under our deck.
I did have to purchase the hardware separate, however I preferred this to ensure I had the best possible attachments. I actually went overboard so each hardware hook holds 600 LBS. One less thing to worry about!
If you don’t have a place to hang a swing, there are swing stands to accommodate a single swing and are smaller than your typical playset.
I love this pool float because there’s four different ways the baby can sit/swim in it and it’s super cute! Many floats just allow your baby to sit in it, whereas this one can be used where they’re in different positions. Babies love to switch up positions!
Here’s to safe, happy fun in the sun!
